The article discusses the issue of using video conferencing when conducting investigative actions in the context of state protection of participants in criminal proceedings. An analysis of the application of individual state protection measures was carried out. It has been revealed that the implementation of investigative actions through videoconferencing increases the effectiveness of the application of certain measures of state protection and, in general, ensuring the safety of participants in criminal proceedings. A theoretical conclusion has been made about the need to make amendments to the current legislation indicating, as a separate measure to ensure the safety of a participant in criminal proceedings subject to state protection, the conduct of investigative actions through the VSK.
