This article discusses problematic issues of combating fraud in criminal legal research. Analyzing the work of S.Ya. Boyko, the author pays special attention to the concept of property as one of the determining factors in the existence and development of society. An assessment of the work of S. Ya. Boyko, allowed him to come to the conclusion that he used a set of methodological techniques that allowed him not only to create a solid scientific basis for solving emerging problems, but also to obtain a materialized product in the form of formulated proposals for improving legislative and law enforcement activities.
