Russian Federation
The increased public danger of crimes against sexual freedom and the integrity of minors, as well as a clearly traceable tendency for them to be committed by a certain group of people, encourages legislators and law enforcement officers to develop an effective preventive mechanism, part of which is individual prevention against such persons by the operational units of the internal affairs bodies. The article examines certain problematic aspects of a legal nature that do not allow adequate effective control over persons prone to committing this type of crime with the help of operational investigative tools. During the work on the publication, the following methods were used: statistical, analysis, induction, deduction. A solution to the stated problem is proposed by changing the mechanism for monitoring a socially dangerous category of persons, which also involves the need to amend the current legislation.
