The article is devoted to one of the topical issues of modern legal education — the increasing role of constitutional law of Russia in the formation of a national-oriented, professional worldview of students. In the context of reforming the higher education system and the growing threats and challenges of modern Russian statehood, the study of the Constitution of Russia, the foundations of the constitutional system, is of particular importance. In order to implement the tasks of building a sovereign, national system of education and education of the younger generation of specialists, the article justifies the need to unify the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Education under the UGSN 40.00.00 Jurisprudence in terms of studying the constitutional law of Russia within the framework of educational programs of a legal profile, as well as studying the discipline reflecting the constitutional foundations of professional activity in educational programs of a non-legal profile.
