THE CATEGORY OF CRITICISM IN PHILOLOGICAL SOURCES: CONCEPT AND ESSENCE-CONTENT CHARACTERISTICS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The presented article points out the importance of studying the definitions of this or that phenomenon, which have great methodological significance in the social sciences and humanities. In this regard, a correctly formulated definition (definition) of a concept plays an important role in the development of science, including legal science. The study focuses on the problem of such a widespread category in law as “criticism”. It is noted that today the term “criticism” is found in many dictionary, philosophical, legal, literary and other sources. In addition, the homogeneity of the interpretation of the concept under study is highlighted, the reasons for which are the existence of the primary source and a unified philosophical approach to the interpretation of criticism. Due to the fact that the foundations of the critical method were laid by Karl Popper back in the middle of the 20th century, various points of view of Soviet and Russian scientists on the issue of the significance and effectiveness of criticism, as well as the critical method, were investigated. Based on the results of the study of definitions, the author proposes a classification of the types of criticism used in many areas of human life in society (literature, music, jurisprudence, history, etc.), and also proposes a generalized definition of the concept of “criticism”.
