The article analyzes Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, introduced into criminal law in July 2022. Normally, elements of a blank, reference and descriptive disposition are combined, and the evaluative concept of “state security” is also used, which predictably may present some complexity in its implementation. The paper presents an analysis of objective and subjective signs of the considered corpus delicti, gives a general positive author’s assessment of the novel.
