The article is devoted to the problem of the reverse influence of the state of legal culture on the state of individual and public legal consciousness. In conditions of transit, which the domestic political regime began to undergo since the mid-80s of the 20th century, the legal culture of Russian society was also under constant pressure from changes occurring at the state level. Such a “transitional” form of legal culture can be revealed through the concept of legal anomie.
