The authors address the dominant positive aspects of the 4th edition of the textbook in 2 volumes by I. V. Ponkin and A. I. Lapteva “Methodology of scientific research and applied analytics”, noting the substantial value of the publication for the formation of effective practitioners, analysts and legal researchers. The value of addressing the key aspects of the formation of legal thinking, the effective technique of transferring mental activity to specific applied tasks, and the focus on a systematic vision of the problem series is stated. In conclusion, the content orientation of the reviewed original scientific and scientific-instructional publication is noted to introduce the reader to the methodology of legal science and applied legal analytics.
