On November 28, 2023, the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the international public organization “Union of Criminologists and Criminologists” and the Russian Criminological Association named after A. I. Dolgova, held an international scientific and practical conference “Theory and practice of countering modern criminal threats”. The increased interest in the traditionally held scientific forum is confirmed by a large number of participants, including international ones, and a wide range of issues under consideration. This time, scientists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Pridnestrovie, Mongolia, representing educational and scientific organizations of various departmental affiliation, met on the scientific site of the Academy both in person and remotely. The discussion made it possible to strengthen scientific ties, study best practices in countering new criminal threats and identify prospects for further cooperation in combating crime.
