ABOUT THE PROSPECTS OF USING SOCIAL NON-LEGAL NORMS IN THE PREVENTION OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
At the present stage the question of the place and role of social non-legal norms in the system of preventing criminal behavior, their functions in regulating social processes to neutralize criminogenic determinants, and the formation of law-abiding legal consciousness is being updated. The non-use of preventive norms that have an archetypal nature, formed in a certain ethno-cultural environment in preventive processes, impoverishes criminological science, deprives it of the opportunity to offer the state effective means of neutralizing and eliminating the causes of criminal behavior. The current situation involves rethinking the prospects for using cultural, professional-corporate, religious, traditional norms and practices of their application in social reality to form criminological (preventive) legislation.
