Статья определяет высокий уровень неравномерности регионального развития Российской Федерации как существенную угрозу ее территориальной целостности и национальной безопасности. В связи с этим насущной проблемой теории и практики государственного управления является разработка методов оценки степени региональной дифференциации и определение ее пороговых значений. Статья раскрывает суть различных подходов к определению показателей, характеризующих неравномерность территориального развития, и обосновывает необходимость разработки индикатора его критического состояния.

The article defines the high level of uneven regional development of the Russian Federation as a significant threat to its territorial integrity and national security. In this regard, an urgent problem in the theory and practice of public administration is the development of methods for assessing the degree of regional differentiation and determining its threshold values. The article reveals the essence of various approaches to determining indicators characterizing the unevenness of territorial development and substantiates the need to develop an indicator of its critical state.
