The current legal situation requires a revision of the provisions on criminal liability for the commission of an act provided for in part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The article attempts to substantiate the possibility of distinguishing between two variants of illegal activity that differ from each other in the nature and degree of public danger.
